Happy Spring 2024!
I welcomed spring by sitting by my aunt and uncle’s pool in warm, sunny, Arizona. It was the last day of my almost two-week stay in the valley of the sun. It was a busy, heady experience. I saw friends and family. Visited old haunts. Hiked forgotten trails. But mostly, I promoted OBEY ALL LAWS, my debut mystery novel.
Talk about a rush! I started out at the Tucson Festival of Books, which was almost overwhelming with its outstanding guest authors and many, many fans. I sold a few books and got to chat with fellow writers and readers. The following weekend I did back-to-back signings at local Barnes and Noble bookstores. The Chandler location was especially meaningful, as years ago, I met with my writer’s critique group there as I worked on an early draft of OAL. I never dreamed I’d return there as a guest author. And the turnout was phenomenal. People I hadn’t seen in over a decade came out to support me and my book.
I finished up the trip with two book club parties. My aunt threw the first one and 18 people were in attendance. I loved answering questions about my book, my writing process and path to publication. The second event was at the Fountain Hills Library, where the fantastic librarian, Ellen, led a group of about 20 participants.
Then, my pup and I began the long, 3-day drive home. I listened to THE HIKE, by Lucy Clarke. If you haven’t read it, you should. I’m blown away by the amazingly written story, that keeps me entertained on the road. When that finished, I listened to MURDER ROAD by Simone St. James. Also very good. Did I mention that on the way there I listened to THE HEIST by Lee Goldberg and Janet Evanovich? Can’t wait to devour the rest of the series.
OBEY ALL LAWS will be out for three months soon. The experience has exceeded my wildest dreams. As I polish book 2, I’m preparing to announce another project I’m working on. Stay tuned!

Just finished Obey All Laws. I picked it up at your book signing in Chandler this Spring. I have been traveling since that time and put it in my luggage as a back up to my old Kindle-and it died. My niece worked for APS and I worked for MCJC. Came to support ‘one of our own’ and found a great new mystery writer who can infuse humor and tension into your writing and keep it realistic. Looking forward to your next book. I love your voice in your writing. I felt like I was sitting with you in your jeep. Never a dull moment.
